The Little White Owl

I teach a unit on owls in the fall, which I assume many of you do as well.  I came across the book, The Little White Owl and just fell in love with the story itself, but also the cute illustrations.  This is a great story about becoming friends and being happy with who you are {even if you are a plain, white owl}.  After reading the story, I had a discussion with my firsties about expecting others.  Then, I had my firsties create a new, colorful character for the story.
